One of those fertilizer spreaders and it was jacked up with different size tires on front and rear.

See if you can spot what makes it unique. :rolleyes:

Seems kinda sketchy.

Naw its a 10 lugger, have seen em quite a bit around here. Well a while ago. Not so much anymore but you still see em occasionally. I have seen a couple of the axles too its a big huge cast piece. No wimpiness at all

The ones I have seen were crazy tall with HUGE frames.

Looks like the axle beam was flipped upside down and under the springs to give it the lift. I didn't check how the rear was done.

You beat me to it.
I actually want to get one of those beams and flip it and make an offroad trailer, it would clear lots of rocks no problem.:D
 
I once saw someone take an HD 3500 Chevy with the front springs and solid axle like this truck have and removed the axle to put a D60 in place of it. Made a sweet rig "almost" factory since it already had the springs.
 
I use to see a lot of neat cobbled together stuff down in Kansas when I worked on all the Embarq generators.

Flipped axle? So now the load bearing is on the wrong side of the world and the KPI is pointed 8 inches inside the tire tread. Great.

That axle is purpose designed for that rig. IF it were a standard axle flipped then the load bearing would be on top rather than the bottom (it's on the bottom in that pic) and also the king pin inclination would be totally wrong (which it isn't).
 
I'll run back over there when the snow melts completely the ground dries up and take closeup shots of the knuckles and kingpins. I will also snap a shot of the rear lift.
 
theres a full size International truck in the 5ton-10ton range setup just like that. That I drive by all the time when I run down south on the highway. I should gets picks of it, definately cool and very big tires.

There are several places around here that have everything from pickups setup like that (well cab and chassis trucks) to those 5-10 tons mentioned before all the way up to big Terragators and everything in between
