89 Silverado
Newbie
Hello!
I’m in Greenville, SC. I’ve travelled all my life. I grow trees, Design Power Plants, build cars, Compete in several Firearms Sports, Ride Bikes & Recumbent Trikes, Collect LP’s, play Sax and I’m freakin’ retiring very soon!
My garage and my heart has a hole to fill. What it wants is a 87-91 350FI auto Jimmy or Blazer. I especially want one of the last years of the Jimmy's. I’ve been off forum’s and websites for several years. I’m looking for a nice driver, as stock as I can find. I can fix, rebuild, repair, re-engineer or replace anything it needs, but I’d like one that I can enjoy now. I’ll be watching the For Sale posts and a source for parts here. Off-Road means a dirt road less travelled. No rock climbing for me. Mine stay on pavement or a beach somewhere.
I’ved owned five K5-V1500’s, a 79 SB400 and a 88, 89, 90 and 91 Blazers. 30 Autos so far. I’ve re-built and restored several GM Trucks and Muscle cars in the last 51 years. I think I may have 1 or 2 builds left in me. My step sons also need to learn how to do this too.
I Sold my last 89 Blazer in 2014. It was a pristine example. My wife was a passenger in a wreck and suffered a TBI. After my wife’s wreck, I decided I needed 100+ airbags in every vehicle I own. The Blazer sat for several years. Now I want another - A Jimmy or Blazer. They just get under your skin.
