It's the 406 or 409 casting. I will check and update.
It's 30 over.
Ran good and had 160 psi all around.
Pulled one head off to check the piston and found out the 30 over when I was trying to sell.
Guy wanted a virgin.
$300 obo
Comes with the flexplate and I will throw in a good starter or 2

I've heard of people shipping over weight items like this through Fastenal. You should try it!

I could.
Find a fastenal close to you and see if you can ship there and let me know and I will figure it out on my end.
This is going to hopefully get my truck back up and running is it a complete stock 400?

It's a long block meaning no accessories or carb and intake.
You can use all that stuff from your engine.
It's been bored 30 over already but it 's in good shape and should be a runner.
The only thing you want to ask your guys is that this engine has sat in my shed for the past 10 years.
I changed the oil in it before I stored it but didn't do anything else to prepare for long rerm storage.

And alternator, a/c, power steering...
With water pmp being so cheap I would put a new one.

Im so sorry havent been on the forums much recently but i got a new crate motor half my money and my parents loaned me the rest
Wasn't waiting for you.
I know you are on the other side of the country.
I have been busy too so now I am not and bringing my post to the top

Willing to check a shipping price for me?
I will see what I can find.
You're midwest right?
Get me a zip and i'll also check with some truckers I know they go midwest.
Do you have a place to receive with a dock or any equipment that can lift off the tail?
It will help with the rate.
I expect the shipping to be no less than the cost of the engine

That's the problem while 300 is a decent price for a 400, if it cost me 300 to ship it, it's not worth it for me. 400 are not that rare. And even less people want them now with LS's.
Anyways I don't have a dock. Last time I shipped something like this I backed my pick up to the door and muscled the pallet across. I would do the same. Or pick with my cherry picker.
I'll check Fastenal tomorrow. Even though I think they are a worthless, shit store.

Zip code is 60014
