Looks like a big event. Congrats!! Those small wheels crack me up though. Did any of the neighbors come out and marvel at the new monster roaming the asphalt?

Was that "sound" @ 2:15 a 2nd gear chirp, or one of the girls in the back getting scared about the acceleration?

Either way it was cool to see it moving around.... I'm guessing that is a huge shot of motivation to get the re-assembly completed.

ps. Love the door slamming sequence as well. I've watched my own door handles and window cranks go flying off the door MANY times myself! :haha:

WOW I thought this thread was kinda deadish, BUT I guess everybody still loves pictures. As far as the custom springs go they seem to be sweet but only got to wheel them that one time, It's been a long moneyless winter and I'm still tweaking things like gearing - posi and a couple of motor gremlins.

Thanks for the reply on the springs. I’m having a hard time convincing myself to run coilovers on the so.texas coast due to corrosion. Hate to spend that kind of money on shocks just to have them get screwed up in a couple of years. Looking at just getting some custom springs done instead of a three link setup for a suburban.

So I tested out the posi today and seems some of my neighbors are not quite as happy with it as I am. Multiple 911 calls went out and the PO PO came a callin. He said since he did not see it he could not write it up but just let me know of the new drag racing laws and how stiff they were. I told him that I was just testing my 1st differential rebuild to see if it was tight and assured him I would not be testing it anymore. He then asked me "So was it tight?" and when I replied YEP! he just grinned a large smile. I did take video and will post it tomorrow. Next dessert outing is planned for the 1st week of April. It's not to the dunes but open dessert where I should be able to open it up a bit. O-Yea I just got a Go Pro camera with a roll cage mount
