For anybody that's interested. Retroblazer will race again at the end of Feb. We'd love to have some help at the race, but meanwhile I have a straight axle conversion to do on my Sub before. It's the vehicle that will be towing the race truck from State College,Pa. to Baja. If anybody is interested in freezing their fingers off, working outside, they are welcome to join me. I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Arlington Heights.I can be reached on my cell at 847-736-5365. Chris
 
We wil be racing Class 8 in my partners truck #839. What class are you entered in? If you need help, maybe you can join us in some way.
 
We'll be racing in Class 3,short wheelbase 4wd, primarily against a gaggle of Fords. We usually pit with BFG, but we may do this one on our own. Maybe we can swap radio freq's before the race. Have you guys made hotel reservations?
 
We run BFG's also but will be pitting ourselves as we usually do. I've rented a couple of houses on the beach just south of town that we always use. It's nice to have a garage for the race truck and they are only $75. PM me your phone number and I'll give you a call form my office tomorrow.

I've got the details. Gonna do a write-up on it and post it up here soon but I'll give ya a little.......

Front is a D44 from a Waggy, hence the spring under.

Hey, good news, we drew the number 1 starting position for the race. The Fords will eat my dust all day if I have anything to do with it.
 
We have three trucks in our shop.

This is my Ford F150 Stock Full that I soloed the 2002 Baja 1000 in and won the 1999 1000 in.

This is the Class 8 Ford F150 4X4 that we won the 1999 Baja 1000 in, raced the Baja 2000 in, and will be racing at San Felipe this year #839.

This is the Chevy Class 8 that we raced last November in the Baja 1000, and will race this year in the Baja 500 and 1000.

I went to a code 250 race a few weeks ago. it was a bit messy, some flags that outline the course were left out from previous races and the racers got a bit disoriented. we must of sent back 10 cars. the first one was class 10, number 101. he was at the lead but got lost a few times.

Chris still owns the truck. We've race together since 96. It is an awesome truck.
 
Yes, I still have it. It's nearing completion from a bare
frame rebuild with 100% fresh parts. With a little luck,
I may have it at the San Felipe 250. I'm entered as #839
just in case I loose my mind and decide to race her again.
I could just drive her to work or take her out to the
desert for play, but despite the glass, a/c, and
registration she's a race horse and I think she wants
to race again. Chris
 
Geeze, you guys keep making me want to spend all the money I have to get the suspension finished on my truck and put glass on it so I can play in the dezert. Any chance your going to race the blazer at an event in a SCORE event in Nevada?
 
No immediate plans, but one never knows. The next one on my hit list would be the Baja 500, but that is a little remote at the moment. It's a cash thing.
 
Chris Wilson's truck was originally a Class 4, but the class was combinrd with 8 around 1995.
