$100. :thumb:

The guy had it laying around his garage and just wanted to get rid of it. Now to start getting serious about a winch bumper... I'm liking the looks of the ORD low profile.

Just had to share. :D

I spray painted one with hammertone Krylon, the other I powdercoated, send me your email and I will send you a couple pics

All but one of the captive mounting nuts for this winch are missing. Any idea where to get replacements? I assume I want them to be graded, but since they are square I doubt Ace would have graded ones.

just regular zinc plated grade 2's iirc..

Same winch I have! It has served real well. I have the Blazin Offroad front bumper which is similar to ORDs.

I really tried to find Grade 8 or even Grade 5 square nuts for winch mounting, but I swear they just don't exist. Ended up using plain nuts, which is the same thing Warn provides.

When you think about how hard a winch can pull with snatch block, etc. and those 4 little bolts with ungraded nuts hold it all together, it makes you think we generally overkill all our fasteners. The standard mode for winch mounting bolts is to put them in shear, but the leverage of the line being higher than the feet has to put some significant tension on them - especially the rear ones. I've never heard of anybody breaking those little square nuts, though.

mcbible has 5's.. but honestly, it's a nut, when have you ever seen a nut "break", like a bolt would... :dunno:

I think that's why you don't see them listed that way much.. I wasn't concerned in the slightest about going with 2's instead of 5's...

I found some at Ace that looked identical to the one I had. I don't know if my example one was from Warn or what. They do seem puny compared to the huge grade 8 stuff I have all over the place, and it does seem like a lot of load could be on them. It would look hilarious to attach the bumper to the frame with such puny hardware, but I guess Warn must have worked it out.
