If the cap was the right size the a coupling sleeve would be as well, coupled with a piece of pipe and you are goldenThat's what I tried, but they didn't have PVC that was 3" OD. I did find a cap that was 2-7/8 which I thought was going to be perfect, but it wasn't deep enough.
I don't own any brass punches. When you use them for seals do you select a diameter either similar to the width of the seal, smaller than, or larger than?I have installed many hundreds of seals as a mechanic by trade but its impractical to get the correct driver for every situation its costly and time consuming. Any seal that needs to be flush i use a hammer and a brass drift once you get a feel for it its fast almost universal and wirks great i have messed up more seals with the "correct drivers " sadly enough then my hammer and brass drift. Just my 2 cents. Mike
