Hey Guys

So the body side molding is loosing it's "chrome " on my 91 K5. Molding is in excellent shape otherwise, very securely mounted.

My question is, are any of the available replacement any good? I mean if there garbage Ill live with whats on the truck. Lastly if it is a good replacement part whats the best way to get the old moulding off?

Thanks Guys

I put new stuff on the burb and like it. BUT its not a perfect match! The overall height on the new stuff is probably about 1/8" shorter than the old so you cant butt it up to the old stuff quite right. But it works.

Hmmm.. not good. Mine's been painted(the truck body), if its shorter god only knows whats going to show under it!!

I bought a roll of it from either classic parts or LMC, I can't remember exactly. I was very happy with it, looks like original. In my case though, I had done a complete repaint so I didn't have any issues obviously with trying to cover the old molding strip marks.

I don't have any great pics of my molding strips, here's the best I have.
