Anybody there or seen/heard anything interesting?

I know @AgDieseler was debuting his Suburban’s facelift but I haven’t seen anything yet.

Mickey Thompson showcased the return of the Baja Belted tires and M/T Classic wheels but I haven’t seen size lists yet.

Pictured is an 18x39 on a 17x16(!) wheel.

Just saw this size chart for the Baja Belteds. Assuming MT is using the correct “grammar” on the sizes, the 39” and smaller versions are radials whereas the originals were bias ply. They’re also available up to a 44”.

While these aren’t a tire I’d buy, they’re pretty cool and I’m really glad to see the market opening up to some old school stuff.

Good news - guys will stop treating the aged old ones like wonderful vintage relics from the past. Probably safer for all of us.

Bad news - guys will be spinning tires going nowhere in mud bogs near you.*

*see - "I had a set of 39" Baja's on my truck in the 80's and it went through mud better than the guys on Swampers!"

They still make a ground hawg. I saw a video of a guy who said he was going to be running baja belts and he had me worried about really old tires for a minute, makes sense now.

in fairness, the newer ones are probably better

The Jackman wheels were supposed to be back.

They’ve been saying there’s a 17/40 coming soon but still nothing. They are really going to miss the boat by letting MT get out there first with a big retro tire.
