Resident Problem Child
There is probably already a few threads on this and if so I apologize.
I recently dropped a 73(?) 350 ,010/020 block(probably irrelevant but...) in my 'burban replacing what I was told was an 89 crate 5.7. I swapped the entire serpentine setup-brackets/AC/PS/Water pump, etc into the 73.
All the bolts lined up,minus 2 on the passenger head, all pulleys in line ....
My overeager helper pulled the belt off the old motor before got a pic or even gawked at it for a few minutes so I'm not sure its on correctly now. I do have groove 2 groove and smooth 2 smooth at least.
So 2 things: 1:My power steering pump is chattering a little and staying a little wet. 2: My temp gauge is staying around 210,I have a 185 T-stat in it and no coolant, just water, but it seems to be a little hotter than I'm used to seeing.
Since I used the entire setup are my pumps turning in the right direction?
Or do I need to swap out to reverse flow water and ps pumps?
Sorry for the rambling post and thanks in advance
