Hey,

What do you guys use for repair manuals? For my '77 I have the factory service manuals. Would you recommend getting the factory service manuals for my '83 diesel?

Definitely! There's no substitue for the factory Helms manual. It especially comes in handy when tracing down problems related to that funky 82-82 glow plug relay and actuator assembly, and the old style fuel filter setup.

IIRC, you can still pick them up online for under $100. Money well spent in my opinion.

A couple of weeks ago I bought the complete set online from Helms for $60. The next week they went up to $75.

I'll probably pick up a Haynes Techbook too....
