ok i did a little searching on shackle flips and haad a couple questions that i didnt find the answers to. I am interested in fabbing up something alon the lines of the Echobit flip, will it effect my pinion angle at all? i am looking to ditch my 6inch blocks in favor of smaller ones.

yes is will. with a 4" shackle flip it will change the pinion angle about 7-8*. a 6" (im guessing here) will change it 10-12*

ok is that alot? i had an 8 inch lift on my truck before, but now i am running 8 inch springs and a 6 inch block, i had rotated my axle perches before with the 8 inch but i am needeing a little more i am guessing......so it will point it up correct? thanks

In my case with Echobit flip , 2wd 12 bolt housing , and stock springs , it pointed the pinion at the transfercase , perhaps a hair down . Allowing me to use a CV with the perches staying put .

Lose the blocks.......the shackle flip will drop the rear of the spring 8" creating 4" total chassis lift.
The driveline angle will be perfect for a CV shaft.
