shackles angled but parellel??

thats what i was going to suggest

i believe it is a trac bar issue, you could sneak around the issue by making "H" type shackles, but it will still flop around a little, especially with those long shackles, ive been there

make you shackles like this l-l with the center piece laying flat to keep it from hitting the frame...it almost looks like when you did the 52" swap you may have not put the front hanger back on exactly square with the world! that would cause the springs to not be parralel with the frame and could cause this, but if you make sure to fab up your h shackles perfect both sides at exact same length and get the center squared up and keep it that way, it would help by not letting the shackle lean, but then again if front hangars arent lining your springs up paralel with the frame the h shackle will just start eating the shackle bushings

I braced mine like an H and have had no problem also, what size holes/bolts are you using... are the bushings new top and bottom... etc... find the slop. almost ALL of the AustinK5 guys are running 52's up front and i've never seen this.

this weekend im gonna get more involved into it and do some more measuring while it is actually day light and check how square everything is. .... i am running 1/2" bolts up top in the hanger mount and 9/16" in the springs

I didn't have that problem with either those spring when I had them in my truck, or the stockers I put in after. It seems like your axle isn't locating right side-to-side.

Keep us posted

a little = alot

if front hangers aren't exactly squared up ,like i said that could cause this if the front hanger is out just a 1/16" when you put your springs in the length will start to multiply the little bit they are out at the hanger....i.e if hanger is tweaked just 1/16" the hanger is only about 5-6" long and with 52" springs every 5-6" you move down the spring adds another 1/16" by the time it reaches the end of the spring it could be out about 1/2" to 11/16". just thought it could be some thing to check on and since 1 goes 1 way and the other 1 the other direction...it could be a possibility that each is out a small amount in different directions that means if they are out by 1/32"(tiny tiny amount) at the shackle it still could be out by 1/4" to 7/16".at the shackle end..like i said just some thing to check

Is it possible that it's just holding tension from being bolted together with stuff offset a little? Maybe you had one side jacked up at a time and it put a side-to-side load on the axle and you tightened up the bolts like that?
