"Shaved" Front Upper Shock Mount

Here's my plan. Going to cut the upper shock mounts from the frame with the plasma:

And then weld in a piece of 3/16 flat stock:

This will leave me with a nice, clean, and flat section of frame. Then off to the coaters for powder. Once I start getting things back together, I'll probably end up building some bolt-on shock towers similar to Rick's setup. Thanks for all the ideas and pics!

I set mine up similar to the way rick did with the ford towers. I was able to get mine on an RTI ramp after putting the 52s up front so i set the plate at min/max flex i was able to get.

I cut off the stock tab and moved the Ford tower in front of the spot on the frame and was able to still us the lower axle mounts.

That’s going to look nice filled in with that flat piece. And yes on the build thread :waytogo:
