Hey

I just got my K30 85 CUCV couple weeks ago and I have the feeling that the shifting is at high Mph : from 1st to second , I need to be bteween 15 and 20 Mph , and for shifting from 2nd to 3rd , then I need to drive at 35Mph , no matter what the slope ;
this sounds like high Rpm ;

Can any one let me knoz what shall be the standard shifting ?
I checked already for cracked hoses on the vaccum lines and repaired suspect hoses , but no improvement ...

Thanks for the help

Additionnal question : there is no RPM meter on the 1009 CUCV , so could any one let me know what is the corresponding RPM when driving at 65Mph with the stock 4.56 gears ( stock truck )?
Is it OK for the engine to go on the highway at this speed for few hours ?

To figure that out I would need to know what size tires you are running ?
Also what transmission you have would help too..

well according to his profile they are 235/75/16..or was that 15? dang i forgot..but rim size shouldn't matter..lol

Well that would put that at about a 30 inch tire.. So that would calculate out to about 3400 rpm at 65mph... At 55mph it would bring you down to around 2900 rpm. Hope that helps.
