mounting a set of Trailmaster ssv's on my rig and would like to mount them inverted but didn't see the info on these I wanted from the boxes so thought I would ask?? Seems as though they are really easy to compress??? anyone running these and your opinions please? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Those shocks are not monotubes and IMO should not be mounted upside down.

They must be mounted cylinder down to work correctly.

thx any opinions on the quality of the shock and it's advantages/disadvantages\ ? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I would say (possibly) above the quality of your standard Monroe or Gabrial, but nothing high performance or anything.

Checking out the website it appears that they're just twin tube low pressure gas shocks with a fancy valving and a very large cylinder.

Any partiular reason you need aggressive shocks, or do you just want to make sure you spent your money on something decent?

it was all they had at the local shop in the 13" travel range and 50.00 a piece here is a good deal so I got them. Never used a valve senseing type shock like this or edelbrock shocks but thought perhaps they would have nice on highway manners. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I got my pro comp 3000es's for 10.00 each brand new inthe box. and thats the ones with 15 inches of travel ( for a bigger truck) best deal in town. /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

I ran the trailmaster ssv's on my dd for probably two years before i replaced them and i liked them and the ride quality better then the rs9000x that i just took off my k5.

LOL..... well considering milk here is 4.50 a gallon and gas is 2.50 "only if" you have an account and buy a cetain amount a month, it's really not to bad. Oh and shipping here from Summit for example is about 10.00 a piece for the shocks via USPS insured. So I was actually suprised the local shop didn't want more.... usually about double for things. Glad to here they ride good since it's a dd, oh and if you don't meat 200 gallons minimum on the monthly fuel it's 20% higher..... do the math . Alaska is not cheap that's why we get paid considerably more here for our respectable jobs. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
