I finally bought a chevy k10. and it is a dog that smokes and drinks more than Ron White. but my major concern is the suspension right now. The previous owner says it has a 4 inch lift via shackle drop bracket. the problem is it rides horribly. the front is missing the shocks and the back shocks are bent and appear to be maxed out. im wondering how long of shocks i need for this truck? my brother is using some ranchos with 14"-24" expansion on his jeep cherokee so i figured that would be a safe bet but now i'm unsure after searching for answers all afternoon. if anyone has any suggestion for shocks compressed and extended lengths i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Tyco

I don't know the exact length, but there's a lot of available options in shocks for that level of lift. Jegs and other parts sites allow you to search for shocks based on how much lift you have. That's how I ordered for my 4 inch lift and they fit fine. ORD and some of the other vendors can also sell you the size you need.

Even Autozone has listings for that truck and 4" lift. Plain white cheapo Gabriels but they get the job done. Probably the same as Rancho or whatever just relabeled.

Thanks yall, i tried that autozone website, then i talked with a guy at my local advanced auto parts and came about deciding to get some Gabriel LTV shocks since theyre cheap enough to make the ride safe until i get my 8 inch lift like i want.
