Shop build. HEAT!

Me too. I figured this was the Suburban thread.

Lol I figured it would get more traffic if I was ambiguous on the title. I suppose I was correct lol.

Cut my last 2 king studs and trimmers.

Soon as my cousin gets here we can get to it

Sweet Brother. Nice job. Do you already have the metal to skin it?

I'm getting with the garage door guy this week to get it all squared away cause when I get all the tin I'm gonna have them bend stuff to wrap the door openings

I got wiring to do here pretty quick too. Calling the electrician tomorrow too

right on! Looks like you'll have that buttoned up before the weather gets too nasty.
Working on truck stuff isn't too far way. (make sure you leave a bay open for working on yellow blazers)

Ok so wiring questions. Also air compressor placement.

I plan on getting a compressor or rebuilding one I already have. Either one would be a big heavy beasty.

I have been looking at new compressors. Some say they require an 80 amp breaker. I would need huge wire to do that. The compressor will be on the opposite side of the shop. So 9 ft up to the ceiling and 40 ft across.

So if a compressor requires an 80 amp breaker I need like 2gauge NM-B stuff or 4 gauge THHN wire?

That just seems excessively huge.

Also I think to make some use of wasted space I'm gonna build a platform and mount the compressor on the platform.

Just been thinking about that today cause my head has decided today is a good day to think about stuff and try not to move much
