Sounds like a cool rig, can't wait to see pics !!!! Like others have said, if the body is solid and straight , the mechanicals are much simpler to replace or rebuild if needed. IMHO there's nothing better then a full vert K5 :woot:

No i didnt buy it right yet.....I had to come home and think about it.

So when i got there today i went over to it and checked the body for dents/rust....Found a little rust on the front right fender and some rust on the driver side behind the rear tire. Then i checked the frame by the steering box no cracks. Then i asked him to start it he poured a little gas in the carb and it started right now and idk if i heard an exhaust leak or a lifter ticking...But it ran all by it self once it started no problem. I checked the milage on the odemeter and i think it is at either 158k miles or 258k miles.....the inside of the truck is good no rust or rot.

It has been painted camo, warn locking hubs in front, And it has 33/12.50/r15 bfg A/T tires. Which the 2 up front are brand new still have the tits on them but the 2 in the rear are shot...Need to be replaced wont even hold air.

Now i am scared to buy this thing because idk what the milage is...My cousin was telling me oh yea i had it this deep in mud and i did this and that (mudding/Raggin on it).

So what do you guys think? should i go for it? i talked him down to $1400 cash and he will not go any lower than that.

Whether it has 158,000 or 258,000 miles on it, it's still a 36 year old rig that's gonna need some work. Parts wear out over time but that's the fun of owning one of these old beasts, learning to fix what you have.
If you buy it and put about $2000-$2500 into it, your still under $5000 or so and you'll have a rig that you can work on easily and call your own and would be kick ass in the summer when you go topless, (the truck, not you).

As far as mileage goes, I wouldn't worry about it that...it's a 1975...it should have over 500,000 miles by now or more...that may or may not be the original engine...engine mileage would be the least of worries...

If the body is good on a 1975, which is a full convertible, it's worth $1400 without an engine....if the body isn't in good shape then I wouldn't buy it.

As for the body there are no dents. But there is some rust on front right fender and rear left fender behind tire other than that its good.

Well if the motor blows i guess i could fix it or sell the blazer....lol...

How much is some rust? If it's smaller than a dollar bill, then you can fix that pretty easily.

And if the motor blows, you can get a rebuilt 350 from just about anywhere and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Hell, you can even get a GM crate motor for under $2000.

We nead pics!! But I would buy it anyway.
They all got rust... if that one has only a little, then sweet!

Has it been cut on or modified? If not, run over and get it...save this rare great truck and get it back on the road. It's a 1975 K5 for Christ's sake!

They aren't making any more of them...I am biased, but there are plenty of Blazers out there, but not 1973 - 1975 models which I covet...

I would not concern yourself with the rust on the front fender, easy enough to just replace it, after all 73-80 will fit, the rust on the 1/4 panel would be the area to be more concerned about. Either way like others have said, it's a full vert, so I personally would go for it. We need pics !!! :D

Ok guys i just went a bought a brandnew 33/12.50/r15 bfg a/t for $70 off craigslist lol.....Then i bought oil and a filter.

I will have pictures up on here tomarrow for everyone! i am going to buy it tomarrow!!!!! w000t!! So check back tomarrow i will have pictures and more info of how it drives/runs.

Ok guys i bought it! brought it home! It started right up and ran good. No knocking, ticking, or smoking! shifted good and the 4x4 works good also.

It needs some seats and after i vacumed out all the leafs from the inside of the truck right under the driver side seat is a rust hole about the size of a baseball.

Here are the pictures. i am happy it runs good and drives good.

Three of the bfg a/t tires are 80%-90% tread and the other one is like 60% tread.

You kept talking about cammo paint, and I was thinking yuk!
But it works on that truck for me.:thumb:
Good deal man, I like it!! Have fun!

Oh man, you scored for $1500! Even if the engine blew up today, you did real good!

Now, get started putting that thing back to stock and don't let me catch you cutting on it :eek1::eek1::eek1:

What color are he seats? What type are they? Can I see a pic of the interior?

Yea i can take some pictures of the interior but the front seats are ugly and messed up. But the back seat was redone camo.

I am really like it, This thing is so sweet!

Tomarrow i am going to change the dif fluids, trans fluid, andt case fluid. I also need to figure out why my speedometer will not work either.

I also need to figure out why my speedometer will not work either.

Chances are that the cable is not seated in the back of the instrument cluster. kind of hard to see, but it may have gotten disconnected if somebody took out the instrument cluster for anything and then couldn't get it put back into place.

Less likely that it is a bad gauge...and it could be disconnected at the transmission.

You will have a springy like connector on the back of the intrument cluster bucket...the speedometer cable just pushes in and clicks from behind.

Also can anyone tell if my blazer has some sort of lift on it already? It has 33/12.50/r15 bfg a/t tires.
