Should we start a shame on you list?

Should 12 bolts for a rearend be banned (Jaosn)!?

Things happen I know and I will help out whoever I can, but I become pretty reluctant to help someone who doesn't see the need to help their self out with some prepp work.

Well that would count me out unless Superior shafts, an ARB, and 35 inch tires would still be ok.:frown1:

I hope prep work does not necessarily include a D60/14 bolt. I don't have the time, $$, and fab skills to do that now. But, I still would like to able to wheel at Blazer Bash with my upgraded D44/12 bolt.

BB'09 ran Fins-n-Things, Hells Revenge, Seven Mile Rim, and Strike Ravine
BB'10 ran Fins-n-Things, Hey Joe, Cliff Hanger, and Tip toe.

Had a blast and learned alot on all of these runs. I don't have any desire to run BTR or Pritchett with my rig the way it is currently built:

D44/Lock-Rite/Warn Shafts/Warn Premium Hubs
stock350/Q-jet/265/205
Woody shafts
12 bolt/ARB/Superior shafts
35" MTRs

All maintained to best of my limited abilities and budget.

All I want is to be able to have a good time and wheel with folks that share my love of the outdoors and the sport that I am so new to.

Thats the kind of attitude needed when coming to BB I think. Know your rig and your personal limits...All those trails and all you had was a broken starter bolt?
I'd be glad to wheel with ya Jack..

I was just giving jason4x4 a hard time for breaking with the 12bolt comment. It sounds like you know yourself and your rig. I would wheel with anybody that knows those 2 things any day! I think these are two of the biggest things to know for anybody. And 2 of the biggest things some people lack. Hope to see you at bb.

You're always as welcome to come to Blazer Bash as everyone. I would definitely be disappointed not to see you there. :waytogo:

Thanks Storm Trooper, 76zimmer, ssyork, and mrk5. Cathy and I certainly hope/plan to attend BB'11:laugh:

We have hiked, biked, paddled, and wheeled Moab...can't stay away:woot:

BTW don't take all the talk of inspections, breakage etc. as "you shouldn't run the harder stuff".

Do whatever you feel comfortable with, if you want to try stuff you haven't been exposed to before there are plenty of us willing to spot and give advice :thumb:

Good to know Chris...experienced spotters will be a definite asset for me....And I'll be asking when I feel I need it too.

X2 I enjoy pushing my rigs limits and watching others do the same.

Yep, we're all out there to have fun and push the limits.
It's only when you have really obvious stuff falling off that people get pissed.
It doesn't matter if you have a well maintained stock blazer, just learn it's and your limits
before you go crazy and bust it up. :doah::haha::haha:
