For those trucks that didn't come out ready for Blazer Bash?
IMO, I'd say no, but I think those that couldn't make it through should think twice before coming out next year or we'll shut you down.
You know who you are even if you weren't on the trail with me.
My point is only to have you do your BEST to have your truck ready.
END OF STORY. Yes, $hit happens but don't bring your friends if there truck is falling a part.
I worked long hours to be ready.
Don't mess it up for the rest of us.
My goal is for everyone to have fun and no bitching.
I'm not bitching, but I don't want to get bitched at. :D

Like I told my buddy with the white 4runner, he rode with me the first year I went, he wanted to take his 4runner this year

I made sure he went over everything before he went, and told him he needed to wheel carefully, and not push his limits, because

A- If he breaks, no one has spare parts,
B- If he does something stupid and breaks, he is going to piss off a whole lot of people that take time to get their stuff ready to go to Moab once a year, and potentially ruin a good trail run.

**** happens, but when **** happens because of lack of preparedness, it tends to piss people off that spent time getting ready to have a good time for themselves, and make sure they weren't going to be the one holding up the group.

How true.

I don't think there's any reason to name any names. I think it is enough for future attendees to know it's not appreciated.

I'm not sure what we could have done to prevent the dreaded oil filter massacre.
We did not even think it would be a problem. Luckily, it was an easy fix!

Like I said, I don't think we need anything like it and even the best prepared trucks can have things happen. Almost every break I saw out there was totally unexpected by the owner and almost everyone out there had gone through their trucks before coming out.
It was meant for the trucks that when you look at them, you can see that the guy brought out a time bomb. If your truck is in bad shape and you don't own a grease gun, don't bring it. If parts are falling off when you drive out, head home.

Wow, I'm glad my plane made it OK....Really I can appreciate the thought behind this thread, thats why I still think a easier run on Thur or Fri would be a good idea before stepping up to Moderate or Difficult class run Sat or Sun.
I think thats what I will shoot for next year, as there is no test like a real world test...

ALL I hear and see is people Complaining or Trying to Fix something that may not be Broken. Like Dave said just trying to keep it LITe so all I wanna know is Did everyone have a BOMB DIGGITY TIME Cause I know I did. Blazer Bash is one of the Funnest things of my Year every year. Good or Bad. Ive been there when My Rig couldnt even make it to the Trail and I still Had a Blast The Guys and Gals and just gettin away from the Norm in an AWESOME place with AWESOME Friends is what its about. I LOVE IT

Slam Dunk!

I agree and just because many of the breaks may have been "unexpected" doesn't mean they should have been. In other words we shouldn't get complacent and have the attitude of O'well something unexpected always happens so I'm not going to properly go over my shtuff. I'll just see what happens.

Should 12 bolts for a rearend be banned (Jaosn)!?:D Really I had a blast. I agree time bombs need to be looked at. I try and prep my rig so that I can beat the crap out of it for days in a row w/out working on it. I know most others do to, and it is almost rude to show up to Moab with a ticking bomb and expect others to help out. We are there to wheel not work. Things happen I know and I will help out whoever I can, but I become pretty reluctant to help someone who doesn't see the need to help their self out with some prepp work.

Uh oh, u better edit, before Jason gets wise ass on you.... it was a 12bolt

Jason loves pointing out other people's errors, whether they were reasonable or not. He's like the Terminator in that regard...

That's why I just said 1/2 ton in my post. I couldn't remember if he had a 10 or 12 bolt :pimp:
