Well i really need to put tow points on my truck so lets see what everybody has so i can get some ideas

id like to see some too, when i did my shackle flip i had to lose my reciever. i plan on drilling holes in the frame and mounting tow hooks front and back.

Mine are on the bumper with shackles :pimp:

Not sure if this helps you but on the rear i have a low-profile hitch from Summit. I love this thing, it looks good, didn't ruin my departure angle and it's strong. It bolts flush with the bottom of the frame and i think it can work with a shackle flip. The front is the old Warn Classic bumper with the hooks mounted under (the bumper pic is from when it had a 3 in body lift).

This pic shows my brother's 79 with the hooks mounted sideways after cutting the bumpers

I have 6 of the H3 style, that I got real cheap. I'll only use 4 when I make the bumpers, but got another pair for my buddy. I also have one of the usual shackle style laying in my shed in the event I want to use it somwhere.

Here's mine They are ford superduty hooks mounted to the frame horns. I have since done the same thing in the back since I removed my reciever.

Factory tow point with a 8k D shackle though the hole. The hitch pin style with a cotter key.

Front still uses the factory hooks. Had to modify the push bar a lil to make it all work.

the front just has hooks bolted to the frame rail. its piss poor but works. the rear is a hitch I cut down and made brackets to bolt up using the shackle flip mounting bolts.

I used to have better pics. you can see it peaking out in these.

I put A 20,000 lb D-ring on my bumpers after losing a front bumper with no tow hooks I seriously upgraded.

why did you lose ur receiver?

i personally lost mine because it was in the way of my shackle flip brackets. shackle flip is way more important, so off it went.

I have the shakle flip on mine also but im still running the reciever bolted to the frame, but if memory serves me i had to notch my reciever with the plasma cutter when i installed the shakle flip. I have the ORD 4" kit
