Shrunken Ned...

Associated hose and fittings in north Portland. right off the 205 killingsworth/ columbia exit. All of the guys there were great.

http://www.ahphose.com/

they had everything I needed/wanted and it all worked out. I tried 3, high pressure 3 piece 90 degree fittings on my orbital, but the 3 piece 90's will not all fit on the orbital together. if you wanna use 90's you need to get the 2 piece fittings and they are the most expensive. I went back today and they exchanged the fittings no problem. I also went with build your own hose and fittings so they could be repaired in the field if needed..if you went with crimp together and had them build them it would much cheaper too. I knew the online kits didn't have enough hose and I also had some unique cooler/fitting stuff I needed to deal with, so online was out for me. the online prices are probably better if you know exactly what you need.

Right on man... Thanks.

That red radiator hose is the business. We use it on our concrete pumps (3/4" stuff) in place of a standard garden hose for our water supply tank. The in tank pumps create so much pressure that they blow the regular garden hoses apart. Add the fact that sometimes a hose gets loose and drags the highway for a few miles, the red outer layer can be completely worn through and they still hold pressure. Good hose.

I finished up the orbital hoses and started on the exhaust yesterday. Exhaust starts at 2 inch header collectors and ends up with a 3 inch super trapp on the end of the circle track muffler.

Turn your heat up and just tack weld.

The mixture on his gas is not right. Not that I can weld but I couldn't get anything that looked halfway decent.

Jack, try and turn up the gas some more. See if that helps, thought about that after I had left.

The nozzle was really cruddy and the gas was low..I cleaned it and turned the reg up halfway thru..I think the regulator is having issues tho.

You think it's cause of the 70/30 instead of the 90/10? Mabe it just needs to be a lot higher LPM with the 70/30....

I thought it was 90 / 10 and should have been the 75 / 25 or 70 / 30. Mine is 70/30. I wasn't thinking about it when you bought it.

The polarity is fine..it's a gas issue..I wonder if the tube could be pinched in the hose..or near the trigger..or mabe the welder is telling me it's time to upgrade

I have welded 90/10 it's not that much difference. Ate you getting a puff when you pull the trigger?
