Shrunken Ned...

So anyone got any criticism on the cage lol. Making me think I'm doing something wrong when no one is critical! Lol

Clean fab work! Just a windshield bar(s) is all I would really add. Other than that, looks good to me

I'll be the first to say that I have never built a cage or really know what makes a good or bad cage.

That being said, it seems to me that the two overhead bars above the driver and front passenger should be tied together at the bends...

My thinking is that in the event of a rollover they will be able to push toward the occupants (assuming that there is a big rock or something where you rolled).

Added a couple bars. Then decided there was too much straight in the top. Had to triangle it up.

Plus messing around with attempting to join part of the original cage to the new cage.

Not alot done today. But also we went to a museum soooo there was that

I like that additional bracing. Now you can do an "eyebrow" windshield brace without there being a dead node (assuming that's something you want to do).

Again, clean fab work going on. I like it

Edit: I would maybe add a cross bar from the bend on your main A pillars the follow the "hood", and then have the eyebrow windshield braces connect to that tube. That would give it more of a "windshield" styling to it, and would brace up your A pillars even more...if that made any sense at all

Excuse my crappy paint skills, but I was thinking something like below. And then the yellow are suggestions of how your could connect your new cage to the existing engine cage to tie it all together.

Just a thought really

Ned still has a hood to go on.

I'm not super worried about joing the 2 cages.

The bars you suggested are actually already in the works. Lower windshield bar is there now. V bars will be done today. Some bracing to the body

Hopefully have final pics today. It's in the garage so I can finally weld with no wind

Nice! Can't wait to see some more pics. Looking good so far

This truck is fairly stiff anyway. I'm trying to figure out a good way to join em. That top bar over the engine is removable for engine removal. They will be attached but not in a super awesome way

@Kay86K5
