So i have a problem with leaky side windows... Not the sliding ones either.

It seems to me that the plastic pipe looking stuff in between the seal is too small. I can almost move the window around in the seal, and it seems a bigger peice would press the seal in there better.

its the peice in between the seal in this pic. There is a piece of what looks like 1/4 hard air line like you would use for an airbag setup. it says 1/4 line on it. Im thinking it needs like a 3/8 piece. I looked at lmc but they dont have this listed, i just see the seal itself)maybe it is included)

It is the lock strip you are describing, and the stock stuff is not round. It is actually flat on the bottom with a rounded top. LMC and Classic Parts both carry replacement lock strip for the windows.

Bottom left, part number 38-6033 would be the black lock strip that you would need. There is a tool available that makes installation of that stuff easy, but I haven't found one yet. Most glass shops should have it, and it makes that job so much easier than the way I did it last time.

I might know your problem. I replaced one of the windows in my 73 with one from an 89 the glass was thinner, not much but it was, I didnt' have it on there long enough to really be able to tell but that might be your problem
