I was wondering about that... why do you all run the same exact flag?
Regulations. Has to be a certain color of a certain shape of a certain height. That way if you see an orange flag coming over a dune you know for sure it's a vehicle or OHV/ATV coming over the crest.
Hmm that's kind of weird... out here in pismo they don't really care. Registered vehicles aren't required to have anything (although most of us run some sort of flag) and all the quads/rails just have to have a flag of some sort.

They aren't all the exact same. However the state does mandate a certain color, size, height, etc. There are variations.
They used to all have the same threads on the base so guys would just weld a nut onto their bumper but now apparently it's hit or miss on getting whatever thread that was.

19 and 20th works for me, let's set the dates and make it happen. Everybody that can do that weekend post up to see the participation, the sooner the better so others can rearrange schedules and make plans.
Well once I get back from Randys Ring and Pinion 
I will be working on my truck quite a bit. Maybe the guys in the lab can do a destructive test on some 5.13 gears for me 
But the 19th and the 20th work for me as well

my dad just picked up an 100 or so, most of them are sold already, but he said he had like 20 extra.
Vouchers, is someone gonna get them, or are we gonna meet there and get them together, how are we gonna do this?
theres no guarantee that we are all gonna get the same time (there are ways around that though if majority can get the same time) or if the time is gonna be early. we could get there at 9am and all get a voucher for 1pm, who knows. usually for non holiday weekends, its not that bad. pretty much get your voucher, wait and hour and get on.

Vouchers are a much bigger issue for guys with tow rigs. Those of us that will drive in dune ready should have few problems. I will drive out on Friday and get a voucher that night. Maybe they will let me take more than 1?

i know my friends have gotton more than 2, even on a holiday weekend. the most i remember my friend getting was 5, but don't know if he had to make a couple passes through. i forgot about guys towing, ive never had anything to do with that before. all i can say is get there early.
ill have my friends truck, so im all set. we may bring our bikes also, dunno yet. id drive on one day and ride on the other if i do.
