Silver Lake July 22nd

Well, it seems several people can't go this weekend, inluding one of my friends who might bring his K5 on the 30th, but can't go this weekend either.

So the plan is to go to bundy hill on the 30th. Anybody who wants to go PM me and we can exchange phone #s and figure out who is going to be there and when.

By the way, anyone who has been there, do they really enforce the 15 MPH speed limit? That seems pretty darn slow for certain terrain like dunes and open dirt.

Well call me a wuss, because although I don't care if I scuff the paint in branches and stuff, I don't like dents. So if I think I won't fit, I probably won't go on that particular trail. I have a rust free truck I bought in TX.

Another problem, the good digitial camera (12 Mpix) got broken when a friend dropped it. So the best camera we have is the wifes droid right now, bummer.

Resurrecting this thread, planning on going to Silver Lake on July 22nd, just seeing if anyone else will be going?

My wife and I are meeting my family there, at least 8 of us, maybe more, arriving Fri night, leaving Monday.

The family and I will be up there the 17-24, possibly longer. Still trying to get the jimmy ready. Touch and go at this point, but we will be there regardless.

Well, I'm here. Couldnt get the jimmy ready . Got it put back together and wouldnt start on Sat. and was to busy packing to fuss with it. Folken I will be driving an 04 F-250 crew cab, bright red with Ski-doo stickers on it. Stayin at the Silver Lake campground. We'll probably be on the dunes in the evening, wife likes the sunsets. Hopefully we'll see you around.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll be in my red and silver shortbed. My dad will have a 50s willies with a blown 502stock 366 talldeck in it on a Chevy frame. It's black and wood grain colored.

I wish I could meet up with you guys - my junk runs and I made some changes specifically based on my last trip there. But my house sold and I have to work on stuff in that direction. Don't know if I can make it all this summer. Maybe in September.

Yea, was up all week. Went out in my F-250 towrig and as soon as I put it in 4x heard a rather disturbing banging in the front. Didnt see anything obvious so expecting the worst. Just missed Folken yesterday. Spotted his rig in the dunes parking lot and meandered over to say hi but he had gone back out. Met his BIL, Jason in the meantime and chatted with him for a bit. Good guy! Folken if you see this, sorry I missed ya. Would have been good to meet you and have a brew or two. We're gonna make this an annual trip, so maybe next yr. By the way I hope you got home ok!!!

sorry to nudge in here but i figured you guys would know, i went last year on memorial weekend and they were using vouchers. do they still use them on the non holiday weekends? we got a group going up of at least 10 people from aug. 5 -7. Just wondering if were gunna have to deal with vouchers or not. thanks guys
