Simple improvements for Big Ugly - cup holders and a spare tire mount

It'd be tight, but there is room between the wheelwell and the front of the box. I have a 29" tall tire in there right now. The only problem you might run into is the height of the hold down would be 18.5" up from the bed floor. That's getting close to the top of the box side...

I'd say a 35" would fit for sure, even a 36 is pretty likely...but a 37 might be pushing it.

Hmmmm...the stud goes through the center hole and not one of the lug holes, right?

Yup, although I guess you could use a lug hole...which would make it a lot more do-able.

HMM I almost wonder if you could mod something from a K5, I have seen 35s mounted on them. But i dont think it would be to hard to mod.

The doohickey we're talking about is the GM in-bed spare tire holder. Kinda uncommon and so far, seems versatile. Now hopefully I can actually keep ahold of my cash long enough to order it from LMC.
