finally got them on. traded my 38.5s for 44's straight up. dont fit too bad with 10" of lift. only problem i found so far is when i turn and flex alittle, it catches the front bottom lip of the fender. i could cut about an inch off of the corner of the fender, but id rather just go 2" higher :D. anyone want to place bets on how long the 10 bolts are going to hold? a couple pics..

i bet they'll hold for atleast a little while. i dont drive it much at all, and when i do, its mostly always just on the street :D

well, if you brake a rear axle shaft on the street cruisin', you WILL KNOW IT...i've seen it happen, and it wasn't pretty. be careful brother. looks good by the way.

I could break them without moving the truck more then a few feet. hopefully you have some cool cops in your area. if I drove that to the end of my driveway they would be waiting to write me a ticket. its illegal for so many reasons in PA.

start cutting. :D

how do you break an axle shaft on the street?
Ive seen it a couple times. The tire and shaft will break out of the housing and put you on the ground. Then hope the tire/axe shaft doesnt hit anythig or anyone. Your truck looks killer though.:D

how do you break an axle shaft on the street?

With a stock 350 in 1990 suburban 31x10.5x15 and a "built" 700r4 shifting from 1st to 2nd at 5000RPM's is how you make both spider gears go ballistic.

Going around a right turn and said transmission shifts under normal driving will splinter the axle shaft after you fix said spider gears.

i busted my spider gears trying to do a burn out with 33/12.50/15's with a 10 bolt under the rear

I blew shrapnel threw a 12 bolt cover backing out of a parking spot...with 33's.

87 k5 with stuff* done to it :D

*rough country 6" susp lift, 1" zero rates front and rear (front moved 1.5 foreard), 3" body lift, sitting on 44/18/15 boggers :saweet:
10bolts (front/rear exploded)

Copy/paste updated sig :D

I wheeled with a guy in Gilmer that was running 10bolts under his jeep and 44 TSL's. To my suprise, he wheeled the entire weekend actually getting hard on it sometimes and having no axle breakage, only split a weak weld on the rear axle truss. I still dont agree with it, but if your smart, they can work...
