slow and amature armor build

You ran your attachment points through the bumper so why didn't you continue them all the way down the mounting plate?

It does look good though:D

I did part way Have a look. I probably would have gone all the way but that was scrap from our fab shop at work and that's how long they were.. I bought the two box tubes for the main part of the bumper but the rest was free.

I jacked on the wrap around part the other day on the trail and almost no flex. I raised my gas tank two inches the other day and will start on the sliders and tank shield soon.

how was raising the gas tanks? did that give you the room to reach the frame to weld on some descent rock sliders. Im very interested in doing something for gas tank protection.( those damn saddle bags)

It wasn't bad. I have a 2" body lift. I think that's the only way you can do it. My sliders will mount in front and behind my sadle tank. I haven't started them yet, just been thinking. By the way raising the tank wasn't my idea. I was going to go with a blazer tank but I read this and changed my mind.

Jason 4x4 was thinking.:D
I'll post pics when I get around to the sliders. Pretty buisy so it will be a while.

Well I got back at it. I have started my sliders. 2x4 rails, 3x3 brackets all 1/4 ". Just got one side started. Lots to go. Some pics.

looks good, some will claim it twists the frame but if you have ever flexed a pickup the frame flexes on its own if anyting I would think those would stiffen it up a bit.

I figure it can only stiffen it and yes I flex this frame often. There could be a problem with cracking the frame but I have plans that should fix that.

Sliders have been done for a while and I've kicked the **** outa them seem to work good. I guss it's about time to put some paint on some of this stuff. Front bumper / winch mount to come.

Nice looking design! I like how you took the brackets and tow points all the way through the bumper and welded on both sides. I hate seeing the bumpers that dont do that, they look so weak and probably are.

Ha I just noticed you can see my 3 year old passed out on the pass side inthat pic.
Thanks for the comments.
