Slow Go on 90 k5_ ChevyToy04

man I am not about to display a picture of that monster I have created. I am not proud of it at all. Once it gets a little prettier I'll show ya!:haha:

Right now it's like: Some of that :zombie3: + :zombie18: with a little bit of :zombie9: and a lot of :zombie15:

I never 'drag' flux core or MIG...the only thing I ever drag is stick. I've only been welding for 24 years though, I could be wrong. :pimp:

Im not sayin you cant do it, its fine to do, I was just told by the welding instuctor at my college who is retiring this year (so hes been at it a while too) that you should drag flux. Regular mig with gas can go either way, just for a better weld I think is what he was getting at.

Its mostly to do with the flux coating. Just a tip he gave me, thought i would share

To be honest FCAW (most wire variations and most shield variations) it really doesn't matter...drag or push. I prefer push. For most MIG, you can drag it, but it doesn't bite barely as hard and tends to leave a higher humped up looking bead compared to pushing it. Alum MIG is push only.

Push or drag with FCAW, just don't let the flux 'overtake' the puddle or you'll have slag inclusions for sure.

All the good people I work with pitched in and got me a $50 cabelas gift card for my birthday so I ordered up some seat covers to hide that hideous drivers seat got. I wanted camo but didn't offer the only two patterns I like so I went with tan and black. I only had to pay $8 shipping so I feel like I achieved something.

Thanks man! I hope I like em. I didn't really like the string all on the side but I think I should be able to get a pretty tight fit with em. You know us young folks like our stuff as tight as can be :D

So true :D

Happy Birthday to me!

I got a pair of brand new Polk 6.5 inch speakers with grilles for $40 bucks, last night from a guy on craigslist:woot: Now just put em in the parts pile with everything else until its time for em:doah:

Wtf?? Lol

Dude I think it fooled me. I jacked it up and in 4lo when I rolled the tire the other turned opposite direction. Samething in the rear . But I was in 4lo trying to get the front end on cinder blocks by driving, and in reverse when it got to touching the block, I mashed the gas a little harder, and the five gallon bucket I was sitting on cracked and collapsed underneath me so I mashed the gas pretty hard and a loud pop came from the front passenger side. The drivers side was on the block but passenger wasn't. I think now the tire just slipped on the block or something.possibly I've heard how weak 10 bolts are so much that I'm worrying myself about breaking one too much . I'm praying no damage was done other than now needing a new temporary seat

Hmm hopefully nothin to bad. Coulda been alot of stuff that popped. The tires are supposed to turn opposite like that unless there's a locker of some sort

Yeah I knew that the opposite rotations were suppposed to happen and I figured if something broke up front it wouldn't've let the other wheel turn? Oh well I'll figure it out when its more obvious somethings wrong

Todays progress: washed out the entire inside managing to kill what was left of the factory radio, and put the seat covers on the bucket seats. Also made about a hundred dollar order off the Por-15 site
