Slow Go on 90 k5_ ChevyToy04

I recommend ordering just the bedliner mixture and whatever rubber you want with no gun. I used half bag fine rubber with half bag of coarse.

So in that pic of "whats left" those are all full? Hmm I see I see.. Looks to be pretty gritty, how does it feel after its cured? Im not goin for looks, I just want something to really protect under the carpet from moisture...

Looks good though!!!

Yes those cans are full , I had 6 cans total at the beginning. One of each can mixed together in a 5 gallon bucket, add rubber and mix with drill and thing on bucket haha can't think of the name.

As far as texture wise its pretty hard to the touch. When I do the tacoma bed and speaker boxes I am going to use all fine rubber instead of the heavy crumb and spray it on thicker being its a smaller area.

It says you have to ask for the heavy crumb stuff.. so if you dont do you get 2 bags of the smaller stuff? lol

yes. If I could reorder I would get two bags of each and then have the choice to go either way or mix like I done. I called and placed my order and Laura was a big help. Especially when I called her back two hours later wanting to make major changes like gimme both guns and both kinda rubbers cause I'ma need em this weekend:whistle:

I was lookin on the website, I think I like the smoother texture, jsut for the sake that it will be easier to clean, I prolly wont put carpet behind my rear seat like it was before, just for the sake of it getting all dirty and the smooth bedliner would prolly be quite easy to clean... And on the tailgate.

Yeah, My next mixture (for speaker boxes and Tacoma bed) will not have any of the rough rubber, but will be all smooth and sprayed on alot thicker due to being a smaller area than the blazer.

Just what I needed!!! Thanks bud lol, sorry for all the naggin haha, just got a bit confuzzled by some of it lol, and the websites not completely straight forward on everything, or im just an idiot...(most likely the latter) :D

Ordering soon.

Its fine bud! that website is a wtf is this kind of thing. I got Laura's number off it and called her up and told her what I wanted and she made me feel all better about giving her that much money for that stuff. lol I called her back like two hours later wanting the other gun and some heavy rubber and thats when she told me the guns come from harbor freight that I could go there and buy it if I had one close by. and she mailed the other rubber from the post office and cost me $5 shipping for it cause UPS had already picked up my order I placed earlier. but anywho the point is call her and skip all that website bs:thumb:

Gotchya. I thought the dealer kit came with 3 large black kits for a sec and I was like heck YAH!! but its only 2... darn.

I shall call this Laura, and we shall talk, oh we shall talk :D

Then she will most likely take my money and ill be left with that emptyness feeling inside as always...

I need to save for the coil/link setup, but I need to fix the floors and rust so that when i save up for the coils and other fun stuff I still have a truck left to put them on:D

Luckily my floors arent lookin too bad. After i got the wire wheel out they cleaned up pretty good.

Well that sucks. You need to be missing the majority of your floors so you can use that little bottle on your welder that you've made Brian and I so jealous over. I'm finally admitting my jealously haha nahh man thats awesome that you didn't have any cancer under there. I suggest a cheaper maybe less step process rust stopper instead of por-15. I wasn't to pleased with it..alot of steps and I had a few spots come up that I had to completely redo. Prep work is whats going to make it last.

:haha::haha:
Haha thats awesome. No im not sayin there are no holes, the 2 corners are rotted through but I riveted patch pieces in last year and siliconed them untill I got a welder lol. And so you dont think the por15 was any good, other wise i may just sand it real good and get a few cans of that self etching primer and lay down the bedliner.

For the price it cost me, I would find another alternative, I had to scuff it up with some sandpaper before the bedliner was sprayed. It was like 3 or 4 steps. Very time consuming! I think sand it down to bare metal, prime it, and spray it with liner cause you gave all winter lol I haven't driven mine since I brought it home on the 26th of Sept. Tag bought today though, I hope to get insurance sometime this week and I'm off tomorrow so interiors goin back in

Oh sweet man. Yah ill just get like 5 cans of self etching primer for $25 or so, scuff a lil, and spray the bedliner.First Im gonna take a wire wheel to it though untill I get everything all bare as I can. Then weld some nice patch panels in with ma nice new bottle :D

I work till 3 ery day till school starts back up on the 9th. So ima be down at the barn from 4 to 8ish every night cuz my womans in brazil till new years, so I plan to actually get quite a bit done lol.

I've been using Rust Bullet. Seems to be a simpler alternative to POR15. POR15 works well when you put it on correctly but man, what a process...and it's easy to screw it up. Even then it has it's limitations.

Rust Bullet's simpler to put on and seems to dry to a similar tough coating. I've painted over it twice now and gotten good results.

You definitely have to follow the instructions and do the process correctly. That's what kills me. I never plan for the drying time and time between coats correctly. Couple hours of prep work and cleaning, then wait, first coat, wait several hours to a day...second coat...then wait several days...now I can topcoat...waiting more...
Depending on what's next you may have to hit it while the Rust Bullet is in it's "can be recoated within x hours or after y days" period. Longer you wait the worse it is and the process makes it harder to plan for.

How thick would you say you put that liner on?

You really are an ass, Deuling :flipoff13::flipoff13::flipoff13:

JK bud hgaha

Its looking good Casey, I really like how it turned out. Once I get all the rust repair done in my truck, I'm gonna give this place a call

On the sides of the rear walls and the less traffic areas aren't too thick like 4 or 5 passes but in high traffic areas like where your foot slides getting in and out and at the heel pivot point of the pedals it's got probably 10 or 12 passes there.
I think I posted a pic of the door jam earlier and that's like 2 passes when the tape pulled off.

The first pass wont even cover all the color. The second will give it a solid black color and then each coat after that thickens it up

2 coats and the tape removed
