The drivers window takes forever to get back up and stops unless I pull it. When it gets past the halfway point the window will go back up to speed. It makes a lot of noise when it's going up so I'm guessing it's not lined up right or something.

I didn't have a problem with my passenger side window up until recently too. Seems like they are both losing power, but once they are past the half way point on the way up they go back up to full speed. They have no problem getting down.

I did recently change my kill switch for the fuel pump, but this was happening a few days before the switch was made.

Any clue for something like this?

You'll have to tear the door skin off to take a look at it. Look for loose hardware and foreign objects. Make sure the felts look OK and that the tracks are free from grit and well-lubed.

Once all the mechanical stuff is confirmed we can start talking about voltage drop.

mine did the same thing. i replaced a motor in one door. it only helped a little and was $$. i ended up taking the door panel off and lubed up the tracks but, it didn't solve all of the problem either. there's a scissor mechanism that moves the window in the track. there are plastic wheels at the end of the arms. the grease on my wheels had dried up and they barely moved. i worked some spray lube into them and loosened them up and now the windows go up and down like a champ.

X2.

Take off door panels. Buy a product called Jigaloo, in a can with orange top at walmart. Spray teh PISS out of every link, joint, wheel, track, etc in teh door for the window. Roll up and down a bunch of times, and spray some more. Then lube all you can hit on the lock mechanism, and put it all back togehter.

I had door locks that barely worked that work fine now. Did this to all windows when i bought the burb, its amamzing the difference it makes.

It is usually because the plastic wheels stop rolling good is why this happens. It starts going fast after it gets halfway because the wheels are pushing up at that piont not pulling up.

Don't I need a special tool to get the interior door panel off?

I tried this once before and couldn't get it back on when I was a teenager.

What is this tool called?

they do make a tool. idk what its called. i've always worked a wide screwdriver in on each side of the plastic clips. if one breaks, they're only a couple buck for a bag at the auto parts store.

I have always cleaned them up then use white lithium grease on them. It doesnt seam to collect as much dirt or go gummy like plain grease.

My (now my baby brothers) 91 burb was this way. Now we call them drunk windows. They go down fast enough you wont blow chunks inside. They go up almost as fast.

White lith gumms up pretty bad. I would use some sort of a "dry lube", mtn bike dry chain lube, or that Jigaloo product. I used to squirt everything with white lith, but it is no longer my favorite after watching results over the years
