Slowly but surely, the 1988 V20 Sub

Got the truck figured out and a repair botched to get me through until middle of the summer. Found the intake valve on cylinder 8 was not fully closing which also solves the occasional backfire issue. I need to go through the whole valve train and check the others. Worst part about it on the old modified engines is they’re not adjustable like a GM. So if it does have valve recession I’ll have to have a valve job done. For now I made a shim for under the intake rocker on cylinder 8. Runs much much better now. First ever aftermarket cam and it made it tricky to identify proper idle since I’m not used to a lope. Sadly no pictures of the repair but on the way home tonight I grabbed this pick. While I do prefer my GM stuff I’ll say Ford had the dome light game nailed in the late 70’s.

Next on the list is to fix some oil leaks and get a new display and cord for the Fitech so I can tune on it a bit. Probably doesn’t help that the system learned to run on an engine that wasn’t running right.

By what it means? It's the type of transmission. Basically the TH400 in Ford land.

Ahh, my confusion. It didn't really make sense to me that he didn't know what C6 meant, even for a GM guy. But you never know when someone has no experience or knowledge a Ford (lucky guy in my book:whistle:). Your version makes sense.

He will probably mention the black wheels next. :haha:

Bump. Does this thing still exist?
