sm465/203 combo on ebay

The short 32 spline shaft is not currently available from ORD. Last I heard they were not planning on making any again. :dunno:

As for the Ebay set up, he's a member here. :wink1:
 
If anybody is looking for that setup, I can get two. Both are complete, still in the trucks. Thought I saw another one somewhere....
 
I'm not an expert on this stuff, but do you mean the 203 portion isn't useable or the adaptor? I admit I need some skoolin'.

Edit: Wait, ORD's website says you can use: "ORD's new 32 spline SM465 output shaft" for the doubler Gen2. Do you mean this is no longer true?
 
The short 32 spline shaft was a product of ORD which they are not currently making.

As for the Ebay combo, it's perfect for what you're doing and (imo) priced right. I've pieced together this same combo and have almost that same amount in the adapter and new 203 input shaft alone.
 
I think I paid $250 for my 465/203 combo, with shifters, crossmember, and a driveline or two. I didn't really need the tranny though. It all depends on how hard you want to look, and how much extra junk you want laying around when you're done. But hey, I figured it was a good deal, and a guy can't have too many spare trannies laying around.:D $300 is still a good deal though. I've seen just the adapter go for that at swap meets.
 
I get it now. Maybe ORD might know where I could find something close or just use the 10 spline shaft on the 465. I'm kinda surprised no one else is bidding on it.

I'm starting to look at a nv4500 as a better option (but more expensive) for the overdrive. I'm not liking the cost so far though. Anyone know the length difference of the 465 vs 4500?
