Been gone cuz sold the K5.
Now have a '85 K30 trying to get the SM465 back in like it's supposed to be.

Tell me/us more about the '85 K30 you have. My K30 is also an '85, too.

Okay, it's '85 K30 that came from factory with 4.56 gears, sm465/np205. The PO swapped to 4.11 gears and a th400/np208 combo.
Got the rig with a 1 year old 7.5' Western plow for around $5k. It had some wiring issues like the tail lights not working. A little work under the dash and it's great. Got aluminum wheels and stock tires for now.
Got a SM465/np205 combo out of a '77 3/4 ton. Trying to get the rest of the parts to get that in.
Runs good except bogs when open the 4 barrel.
Pulled a 7k pound truck on a car trailer about 300 miles one way with out a problem. Got a '84 parts truck to swap the 4 headlight system into it and other small parts.
I'll have to take some pics and email them to ya.

Sounds beefy enough. Shame the 4.56 gears didn't stay in.

Love the K30. The K5 was just too light for some of the hauling I was doing.
Can't beat the D60. Forgot to mention, the bed is rhino lined. It is awesome. Oh yeah, got the gov bomb also. So far so good. I don't get as crazy as I used to. It's a medium blue color. Originally was light blue/silver.
Can't find a RPO code list, so not sure of all the options.

Write down the VIN and take it to your nearest GM dealership. They can type in the VIN and print off the RPO code in detailed form for you.
