Snafu buildup

So this is going to be my build up of my K5. Having a build thread should entice me to keep moving forward.

My plans are to remove the conestoga rough country lift and go down to a 4" shackle flip and 4” springs up front.

Also going to keep a watch at the local u pulls for some 1 tons.

Have a trip planned for this sunday to go and extract a 5.3 from an 03 avalanche, and maybe a 14 bolt from one of the 3 3500s that are sitting around...

Feel free to ask anything.
My questions for the group, 4l60e or 4l80e? Keep the np208 for its low range or swap to an np205 so that i would be able to go with a double cardan rear axle instead of slip yoke?

I've got a shackle flip rear and just put BDS springs in place of the Rough Countrys in the front of mine. It was a world of difference.

So today something followed me home from the pick a part... lm7 anyone? Unknown miles. Gonna try to open it up tomorrow night and see what it looks like inside..

My truck is becoming more of a trail rig than a driver, but on the trail last weekend they were awesome. I will drive it tomorrow and let you know

I like my 4in BDS 56s and shackle flip for sure.

I just removed the curved overload and replaced it with an add an inch and they are smooth sailing.

Holy crap. 11 months since i updated. Life, new job and some new guns got in the way.

But, i did get my minispool and spartan locker installed today... course i didnt know id have to take it down to bare knuckles! 4hrs late mini is in. Spartan locker went in very easily... until it came time to put the c clips in...
