let me try and clarify for you...
the people that bitch when a dealer says "well you know we have an agreement to pay me every week" are usually NOT the ones who pay every week, they are usually the guy who runs and hides when a dealer shows up...
i never said i wouldnt warranty for a non-customer, i do it all the time, but i also know the handful of guys that WONT buy from me, because they go to the fleamarket, buy broken stuff dirt cheap, and they are NOT allowed on my truck to try and get that stuff warranteed, im kind of partial to my job and i enjoy not being undersold in my own territory by some asshat out to make a dime off a reputation i worked to build, because "snappy comes every week, and he'll take care of it" is no problem, but it irks me when someone else (not a previous dealer) sold them something (some douche off the street)
and i believe, firmly that if you were to really compare apples to apples (Which is usually hard to do between tool companies), that even something as simple as a 1/4" flex ratchet, snap-on isn't more expensive... im not trying to start an argument, i was simply trying to set straight the issue of routes being changed...
i hope you and your dealer can resolve the issue, because im sure he wants your business even more than you want him to come see you every week, if he doesnt, then he's in the wrong business...
