Sneak Peak, GAUNTLET!

Gunmetal would be sweet hammered or not. I was going to use hammered on my shackle flip, but decided I couldn't put something so bumpy on that perfect new steel, so I just went with smooth grey. Rustoluem makes a gunmetal color in both finishes. You have to promise to post pics when they arrive. Or Kert could just post up more pics, hint, hint. (and some prices so I can start hording, I mean saving, cash.). ;)

I will definitely post pictures.

I am also working towards the next stage of my truck build, which is Axles. I am having a heck of a time finding a D60 front that isn't either beaten, or crazy overpriced. I don't mind paying what they are worth, but I am not paying 1500 dollars for a chunk of metal with no hubs and brakes and calipers....

A little disappointing actually. I have been trying to find an entire K30 to steal from, but I don't have anyone who needs the rest of the truck.

Prototyped some new stuff on your rear bumper as well! Freebies for you. You'll like 'em, R and D for me! Nothing obtuse or crazy just different/better techniques on some existing options you ordered.

Wow! As if I wasn't excited enough already! Hooray!

I really appreciate when people do good work, and are kind and friendly. You and Tracy have been nothing but professional with me. Tracy is always super cheerful and helpful when we talk, and all of my converstaions with you have been pleasurable. In a world where too much is "Canned" it is nice to find folks that just do good old fashioned high quality work, and charge fairly for it.

I have a batch of local friends who are waiting to see the pallet when it arrives. I am planning to taunt them with my high quality gear, and I am sure they'll be calling you shortly! Also, I have a feeling that as soon as I get the bumpers mounted, you will get a call ordering basically everything else you make.... ;)

I am sure none of this is news to anyone on this board, but my experience has been excellent thus far!

The "Gauntlet" front winch bumper.

Carries a warn M12,000 lbs. winch. Available with many options. Just about anything you can dream up!

It's all business!

Kert,

If you can make that bad boy for the rear end of the truck, I'm sold and will plunk the cash down! I want to put a winch behind me but there are NO winch bumper options other than a multi-mount. Are you game for try?

Manny

Manny, i said the same back on the first page. i think he is going to have enough people wanting ones for the back that he will have no choice. Supply and Demand baby! hahahahahah!!! something of the simliar would be nice in the back. winch mount, driving light holes(for those night time operations) and shackle mounts to pull you azz out when u get stuck.

Sorry forgot to post up prices,

As follows,

Base bumper, $455
Hidden winch mount, $95
Front stinger tube, $60
1" body lift adjustment, $30
2" body lift adjustment, $40
3" body lift adjdustment, $50

Got a whole pile of these in process at the shop now so things are getting fast and furious again.

Rear winch bumper shouldn't be a problem as long as a suburban or blazer gas tank is Not used. Not much room back there when those are in place.

You guys wanting to see the rear wrap around more like the front? Describe your ideas and we'll figure something out.

Hey Kert,

Wrapping around in the rear may cause a snagging issue on tight trails and the forces would be working in the direction of pulling the bumper away from the truck. Not a real good idea, I think. I know for me it would be best if the rear bumper was shortened a little bit so that the ends were flush with the side of the truck or tucked in a little.

I'm foaming at the mouth. Drooling. That bumper is awesome! I need one on the rear. M12000 in the back! Oh I am so all over it!

Manny

i think i am with Manny. Dont want anything stickin outside of the truck. At the same time dont want it too narrow. Wow sounds like i am hard to please. Have it going straight across like a normal rear bumper not like the taper in the front. Looks like i will have to lose the stock blazer tank. What gets in the way. Can the bumper not attach in the factory holes?

Kert,

I have been waiting a long time for a bumper like that. Do you know if this bumper will fit a WARN 16.5 winch? If it doesn't can you make it fit?

Got any more pics? Esp with the stinger? Got an dimensions? Oh, and I've never seen one in person, so I'm not sure it's possible, but could a Warn Powerplant HD fit somehow, and then plumb the air to an outlet, or would it just have to stick up out of the top?

Going by Warns website dimensions it will fit.

Looks as though the m12000, 15000 and 16.5ti are very close to the same size.

I neglected to get one with the stinger. I coulda swore I snapped one but It's not on the camera.

What dimensions are ya looking for?

The warn powerplant won't fit inside, it'd have to stick up through the top. I think we're talking a different bumper all together. Could make it look the same. You got the winch already?

Nope, but I'll let you know when I do. :D Thanks for the reply Kert. As far as dimensions I was mostly wondering about the height at the middle and ends, in relation to the front clip, and for aproach angle, but more pics would clear that up, too. I don't want you to give away the recipe for that big beefy bad boy. :wink1: Of course most of it's worth is in your fine craftmanship, and that's no joke.

It basically is low enough to protect the fender hang me downs in front of the wheel well. Stands approx. 5" out from the front of the valance. Little less.

When you get to shopping for a winch let me know. I can get you the warn at a competitive price and save you on shipping if we pallet it with a bumper!

Thanks for the compliments! Always appreciate.

kert do you have any interest in doing something similar to this for my 07 but with out mounts, I would have to get some numbers, that or can you do custom plate work for me and I could built it to make it work?

i know that it would be tuff with out the truck there.

I bought my Winch through Kert because:

1.) He had great prices.

2.) I like dealing with nice people, and would rather give him money (especially if the price is better) than 4WheelParts. :)

3.) It gave me extra confidence that the winch was going to be PERFECT fit.
