I've been happy with my 180.... good machine...

Especially one as cute as her:D

this mean your going to be changing your truck somehow?

Truck has been down for the last 2 1/2 years. Bought a house and have been slowly collecting parts. Needed to replace the 14 bolt again for a spun axle tube. New gears for it, Hydro assist, A doubler, new anti wrap bar new motor mounts from DIY4x and a fuel cell. Needed the welder to build my doubler crossmember.

Sweet, looking forward to see what you come up with

if this thread was just to brag and make us all jealous........... methinks it worked ;)

hell, i dont even know how to weld :o. although i plan on taking a metalworking class when i get back to school.

:waytogo:

Is she gonna fix dinner after she gets that crossmember done?

J/K don't let her beat me up.

I was showing my wife the new rear suspension on my Blazer the other day. She said the axle looked too close to the ground and I should get bigger tires. I have 38s.

Not as cool as a welding spouse, but maybe someday. :D

Not the first time she has worked on my s^!t or in the garage. Made her tear apart my dana 60 one weekend.

sounds like an excuse to go bigger! hahaha:D

Thats funny because when I bought my hobart 210 about a month ago I taught my girlfriend to weld that same night. I asked her if she wanted to try it and to my surprise she said yes! She was laying decent beads in a matter of minutes.:eek1:

But taking apart an axle now thats another story...

yeah ive got this petite little green eye'd italian that knows almost as much about cars as me, but actually has more experience in paint/body/and fabrication than i do. too bad she's crazier than a cat lady.

cegusman - im curious, did you do the full convert conversion to your truck? or just sawzall the roof off and put the rollcage in? or is it an older bodystyle with the newer front clip.
