In my shop. Doing stuff.
Got to quit jumping the truck. Cracked the transfer case. Welded it. Now need to seal it at the adapter. What should I use for sealant?

Pics or it didn't happen!

Can't you get one tomorrow for a few bucks? Better buy a dozen!

What t case?

700 is the trans right, my local transmission supply house has all sorts of odd stuff. I could look for ya

I use this handy gray Aircraft sealant, squeezes out of a tube like caulk after you've mixed it, sets in two hours, cures permanently in 96 hours. No leakers ever...I'll see if I can get the name/manufacturer.

What's wrong with good ol' RTV? Or if you have some time in the morning go to a parts store and buy a sheet of gasket material and cut out your own gasket.

RTV did last last way back when. I am getting too lazy in my old age. The gasket material is laying on the bench.

I have spent the last 3 months building, fabbing and making custom stuff, polishing 394 stainless button head Allen bolts, for moms 34 Chevy. I am done.

Maybe you could talk mom into cutting you out a gasket.
