So, Im a bonehead and lost....

That would be cool to have in the truck. I like 'em, never seen 'em before though

Haha, Bryan....you had me thinking

I've carried small utility knifes before, then a leatherman, then I found these at ace hardware and loved them. It's amazing how often I ended up using all the functions of it. So I'm.back to the drawing board

That style of vise grip is nice but no way in hell I'm paying that much for them. I have arced and flat jawed vise grips in three or four sizes and probably have 10 to 20 of each size. You can never have too many vise grips IMHO.

Have you looked at the Leatherman Crunch? I've got one and like it, but don't love it. Both the blades and pliers are slow to deploy and it doesn't lock down quite as hard as Vise-Grips. But it does lock down a lot harder than a normal pair of pliers. Also handy is you can back the the thumbscrew all the way out that hole becomes a 1/4" bit holder-that is a very nice touch, but again, slow.

I have a few different multitools I've used over the years that I've not been 100% satisfied with, and have been thinking of selling. This is one of them, so I don't know if this an endorsement or not:dunno: Just trying to give you all the info.

Ive been collecting vintage and NOS american made vice grips for a little while now and some of the older ones go for some good money in like new condition. Never seen those before though.

yeah ive heard that from a lot of people. I think they are the greatest thing around.

packet, mulit tool wise

I have one of these, I love it, I got it from a dealer back home that gave it to me as a Beta test tool, before they put them on the market.
As you said it's not very strong, but it has saved my life many times in the past 14 years.
I still have it and it looks the same as the day I got it.:thumb:

ICE, you mean the leatherman? Because of this I'm going to try one out

yep the leatherman Crunch.
I love it.
It's so compact and yet can do so many things.
And the locking pliers are great for holding tight and working with the other hand without having to put an effort.
