So much rust

Well I got inpatient and bought a hoist off Facebook and I was only going to drop the transfer case today but I ended up pulling everything out and I had a big mess to clean up but I cleaned it all up and power washed the engine bay

I can’t wait for this thing to go in so I can clean the garage

Damn man I admire your determination. I couldn’t stomach all of that work.

With today’s deliveries that where suppose to be here yesterday I can finally get the last couple little things on so I can drop in the motor

Yeah this is a bunch of work sometimes it feels like it was for nothing because after I finished the floor and got it drivable I only got to drive it 300 miles before the motor died but driving those miles was fun

I would bet that you are excited now!
I definitely would be! It's good that you are going strong even though you didn't get to drive it much.

Let me know how you like that fuel line.

Dropped the motor in today everything lined up nice until I put the long tubes on they where hitting the front leaf spring so I’m going to have to see if I can get those to tuck in a bit or I’m going to have to get some different ones that will work I also put on the rear driveshaft it fits on but there is only half an inch of movement in until it’s maxed out into the transfer case so that will probably need to be addressed too

Got the computer and wiring harness test fitted and reworked I need to cover the loom up and it should be good to fire this week depending on work schedule but I also made the new stainless fuel lines front to back and new trans lines too

But still need to make these headers work

That's cool that you are doing your own wiring work!
What's the problem with the headers? I don't remember.

They are hitting the front leaf spring on the passenger side and the driver side has only 1/8 of an inch of room I’m going to try and heat them up and push them together but I have to get a set of torches to the house

Ahh, yeah, I have found that problem on a couple of sets. They like to run into the shackles or bolts.
I hope that you can get some clearance.

It’s alive I got the headers to fit right and did the coulple wires to the ignition and I fired it up and it was bearly running so I knew what the problem was right away because when the fuel pump came and I took apart the new fuel sending unit that had a pump with it and grabbed the wrong one when I assembled it and I was not sure if I put the right one on or not but after I checked the fuel pressure I knew I screwed up
I’m not sure how to upload a video because it says it too large

Good to hear! That it runs, that is. And that you know what the problem is.

I'm not sure that your username is appropriate. Unless your job is digging tunnels.
:D

When I started this project I thought I was going drown in work on this thing but I just take it slow and make sure everything is good and it really hasn’t been that bad I’m actually looking for another project to get my hands on lol
