once you sober up - was an adapter required to mate the nv4500 to the 208?
No adapter needed, they bolt together
This. Any GM 6-bolt round-pattern 32-spline T-case will bolt up to the GM NV4500. The adapter is built into the NV4500 tail housing. If you don't have a later (85+) cross member, you're going to want a spacer as the mount won't be tall enough. Dimensions in my K5 thread for anyone going this route.
gm round 205 requires short input swap on the 205 or spacer for direct bolt.
