A ground terminal with 2 wires and a 1 pin connector from the spark box. Neither of them are plugged into anything. The grounds have me a bit concerned but I cannot find any place where they would go to. They come out of the harness that comes from the knock sensor behind the distributor. I was going to cut them and solder some wire and run them to the nearest grounding spot.

The 1 pin connector that isn't plug in by the distributor is am not as worried about, but I don't have a clue what it is.

Thanks,
Jeremy

It would greatly help if we seen pics or even tell us what style of connector and color wire. The wire you think is a ground i'm assuming has a bare metal terminal ring crimped on it and if so that goes to the back of the passenger side cylinder head where the clamp for the TBI fuel lines go. The single connector I can't help you with until I know what style connector and color of wire and the exact location of where it is.

Its a 88 TBI that has had some 'interesting' rework done to the wiring harness. IE it got some bits melted and taped back together.

thfonz98 You are correct. The wire from the distributor is the tach connection.

Yes its a ring terminal that has 2 black wires?

Thanks for the help!

The tach wire is a single white wire that comes off the coil wiring and NOT the distributor.
