Did this top req. any drilling?

I drilled three holes or maybe 4 across the windshield frame to hold the steel piece that all the snaps are connected to.

It looks like these stay very close to the position of the hardtop - I need this to fit over a fullsize cage (fits inside of original hardtop). Anyone have experience or opinions on if this will work?

I have the same question about the full cage, though not the same dough to just pull the trigger. I will be very interested to know how your new top fits. Good luck.

On the full vert does the top work like the newer heep tops, where you can just flip the front back when you're cruising, without taking the rest of the top off?

Not by design but it has crossed my mind about rolling or folding that front flap under somehow. I haven't studded it much but I might when I have a little more time. I like the idea and I have a bikini top that the front half comes off but the back still shades the back seat.

I used a Tailgate from an 82-83 Pick up I think. No special year really needed, just take the tailgate and the hardware from the donor vehicle. It took all of 30 minutes for the swap, the longest part being the rusty bolt removal on the blazers stock gate.
