Soft top... new seals?

I loved mine on my old M1009. I drove it through 2 Chicago winters too. Still held up great. But yeah, the windows do scratch easily

Got my hard top ready for removal. Need a buddy before I attempt that. Tell you what, the top on this 91 is HEAVY.
Ran into a few snags. The expected bolts behind the rear side pannels. Also a few of the "nut plates" spun under the side rails. Speaking of side rails looked like someone tried to remove the center pin on the tamper proofs bolts. Nice booger job .
Lastly the T50 wouldn't budge on the drivers belt bolt. In fact it shattered under my impact. Pulled the retract off the top, for now. Might give the T50 (when I replace it) a go with a impact driver next time.
On a happy note softopper mailed out the top pretty damn fast!

Well got the top off the 91 today. Got to tell ya guys, it's one heavy SOB. Now granted I'm close to 55 vs 25 but I'm no couch potato. A check with the tape measure showed over 3/4 inch gained in hight. Keep in mind I'm on stock springs.
One disappointing item of note was a rot hole. (See pic) This is a CA Blazer so it's otherwise pretty rust free.
Hard to tell but the seal glued to the cab may be absorbing water, like a sponge. I'll have to look more into that before I install the Softopper .

Yeah they're nice. When I have the sides rolled up and the back window removed the straps that hold the frame ridged at the back corners get loose. I need to figure out a way to remedy that.IMG_20180201_161602969_HDR.jpgI don't have a pic with the top rolled up:dunno:
