Thinking of pulling the trigger on a soft top for my 91.

Don't know if the top has ever been off, but I'm sure all the seals are suspect.

Should I order (and from where?) New seals to put on along with the soft top?

Thanks!

Not sure what brand of soft top your looking at, but my Softopper came with everything to install. You would only need factory rubber for your hardtop.

I'm looking at softtopper brand (only one available? ).

Just thinking if the seals on it are shot now, and the softtopper requires you to retain them, best I change them now.

All the seals usually attach to the hard top so I don’t think the soft top even uses seals, except maybe at the top of the windshield, but even that would be different.

To be clear mine is a 91, so no windshield seal.

Looks like it has 2 rails that uses softtoppers gasket. The front "hoop" that attaches to the body uses the factory seal. That one I believe is still pliable on my blazer. It's the one one the topper that meets that seal is roached.

Now going to see if anyone who sells the soft top is running labor day sales!

I just got a softtopper for my 85 a couple months ago. It came with all seals needed. I don't have any factory seals on there just the softtopper stuff.

What about the factory one that goes over the cab pinch weld? Assuming it's not a full convertible.

The kit came with 2 6 foot long bulb seals. One goes down on the cab under the hoop piece, then the next one goes on the hoop piece.

Then the 2 that you mentioned for the bed rails.

Ok, but to be clear you retain the factory seal on the cabs pinch weld... yes?

Thanks guys.

Off topic, your reasonably happy with your soft-toppers? Thanks!

I feel like the softtopper is the best thing I've bought! I took a while to pull the trigger, then I was kicking myself for waiting so long.

I didn't buy it but bought a truck with it.
I know it's a few years old but it was taken care of and stored inside when possible and the clear windows are not anymore, they are not even translucent.
Otherwise it still is in one piece.
I will see after a good wash and a few trips how it holds up.
It's been sitting a lot.

I got mine with the smoked windows because I have seen how the clear plastic on the jeeps look after a little while. They do scratch easily.

Mine is in the sun every day so I guess we'll see what I have to say about it in a year or so. I don't have any intentions of using my hard top again.

I also got the tinted windows which scratch easy but the sides are all rolled up majority of the time. Or if I'm going to run a tight tail I just leave it at home.

Pulled the trigger on a tan one for my 91. Any suggestions or tips on install are welcome.

Did you guys let the new tops sit in the sun before install?

I installed mine in 110 degree summer sun so it went on fairly easy. You’ll want to start the snaps across the roof and down the cab. The warmer it is the easier it is. If I remember right, the instructions were fairly straight forward.

Just call Soft Topper, i bought new parts for mine, didnt get seals, i got new snaps and plastic corner pieces
