Softopper Model #BlazerGen3 Description

Price: $749.00
You asked for it, we built it.
The 3rd generation Chevy Blazer Softoppers are now in production and will be available for delivery starting in mid May 2009. They are available in black with lightly tinted rear and side windows. The topper will compliment the summer time Blazer experience with the ability to roll up the rear and side panels in a Minute or two and completly remove the top in another minute.
Included is a protective boot cover that must be used when top is retracted rear-ward.
Initial installation takes about an hour. No drilling into the vehicle as the Softopper hardware mounts into the factory hard top bolt locations.
Fits K5 Blazers from 1976 to 1991.

UPS Ground Shipping in Continental US is $65.95

And they still don't make a full Vert top. LAME.

They sure picked a beater to demo it, but that is pretty awesome all the same. Glad to see someone is doing it, when I get another K5 I will be ditching the hard top for that.

I like that they are Recoming out with them, someone needs to buy it on here though...to give us a true low-down on it with lots of pictures.

I *think* that skyler is and has been out of buisness...I would much prefer to get that style of top if they weren't though.

Skyler and Kayline are both LONG out of business.

I think the tops look good, especially the 1st Gen. The price seems somewhat reasonable so it looks like I'll have to start saving. THe only thing I wish the Softtopper had were the zip out windows rather than the roll up type. Personally, I'd have the windows zipped out 90% if the time and it gives a cleaner look. Well, I/we shouldn't complain as we ALL have been bitching that noone is making said tops and now they are available.

The bronco guys are in the same boat but bronco graveyard just started making a top having it made oversees they just relesed it, it might be able to be modified and or get with them to make a blazer one. $600 and the 3 windows zip out.
I know it don't solve the blazer problem but maybe with the demand like it was for the bronco something might happen here is a link with pic's.

No offense to those not from or living in the good old US of A but what ever happened to "be american, buy american". It's no wonder this country is so screwed, we keep sending everything "overseas" and taking away american jobs and giving other countries our money.

I totally agree as well as many who ordered the top and seen it stamped on the box. But if that is the only people out there to make it and make it resonable enough to afford then we have 2 choices pay more and have it custom made or keep the hard top. That was the reson i mentioned it in the post.

Been meaning to stop by and check these guys out. They are in my neck of the woods.
I'll offer up my Jimmy to properly model their top:D

Mine will be made in the good old USA since I'm building it myself. Built not bought :D, only I WILL have the top built by someone else cause I don't have sewing equipment, and don't know how to sew. I'm keeping a tally of cost and will post it when all is said and done. Even IF they made one for the 2nd gen full vert, I think I can build a better mouse trap.

There was alot I didn't like about the STC Top, this Softtopper one I have not seen yet in person so I can't say what I do or don't like about it. My top will be basically the same design as the one I was going to build and try and start selling, with a few exceptions because of my cage. The STC top IMHO was a PITA to install by one's self. Completely doable ofcourse but a PITA none the less. User friendly one man easy installation job is key.

A few more pieces of tube on your cage and you won't need a softtop at all. In fact, I'd bet it'll actually be waterproof.:D

lol! The only reason I didn't go with a soft top directly to my cage is because I think it will look odd. Not being matched to the windshield roof line will just not look right INHO. My cage was ofcourse built inside the hard top so it's lower then the windshield frame. Maybe a bakini top over the front two seat area as minor shade when the hard & soft top is not on would be ok but not for a complete soft top design. Thats just my openion.
