Sold a 79 GMC grill

He was looking for a 79 GMC grill.
He had a pic of his truck that is was for.
I have a mint one hanging on my wall .
I didn’t want to sell it but it jut siting there on my wall for years. Came in the box of my 77 Chev that I bought for 400 bucks years ago.
I told him that I had one and make me a offer. He said they are going for 200. I accepted that and made a plan to meet him. He gave me a extra 20 for delivery.
It went to a worthy home on a race truck. He sent me a pic of it installed. Super nice guy too!
This is all within three hours…

Yeah for sure. But how long does a guy hang on to something. And it went on a nice truck!

I have sold parts cheep years ago the are worth a fortune today. Couldn’t take them with me at the time. Big life change and all that.

I 100% get it. I had the one from my truck kicking around for years. Some of the mesh areas were broken, but easy to fix with pieces from another busted grille. I came across a nice fella that needed one for his really nice truck he'd been working on and made him a deal on it. I know I could have sold it for a lot more elsewhere, but that wasn't the point.

The crap I have given away is now worth an ass ton.

In particular a whole 87 v30. Yeah I know what I said.

I just hate it when I scrap things that I know are worth something.

I have taken at least 4 really nice k10 one k20 4x4 frames to the recycler. Nobody wanted them.

Seems like large items are NEVER the right location for some reason. So it ends up as waste.
